Everything the Darkness Eats: A Review

Kindle Edition

Expected publication: June 6th, 2023 by CLASH Books

4/5 Stars

One thing I admire about each one of Eric's books is their ability to not only tell a story, but someone's story. In this case it being Ghost and Malik's stories: stories that at the end of the book intertwine in a shocking conclusion that felt both beautiful and bleak. I won't give away too much of the story, but let's just say that Eric Larocca really knows how to pull at his readers heartstrings and sometimes even tear them into pieces.

By now, I've read all of Eric's works and he is an auto-buy author for me. Whether it's short stories , poems or now novels, there's something for everyone. Sure, a lot of it is brutally honest, but that's another thing I so admire about their writing. There is no sugar coating anything, and you better be prepared to be disturbed a few times.

I did feel that maybe, just maybe, a bit more could have been added to the story to make it last a bit longer, but that might just be me not wanting to let to of the characters just yet. Either way, it was a fantastic read and I'm so happy I got to review it early! Thank you CLASH for the review copy.
