2/5 Stars
I wanted to love this book; I really did, and at first, I was sure I would. However, the multiple POVs started to take over, and it seemed that every character would go on and on, repeating unimportant information and making the book more filler than new content. And trust me, I'm really sad about not loving it, especially since it started out so good and so deliciously creepy!
Rowan, the creepy kid in the book, gave me the chills, and I couldn't turn the pages fast enough to see what was happening next, but at some point, I started losing interest. I hate skimming through pages, but it's what had to happen for me to finish the book. But I could have just DNF'd it at that point because the ending was a huge letdown.
It's always a bummer when a book starts out as a five-star read and then completely tanks.
Thank you to the publisher for the review copy on Netgalley!
